How are Winter Season Pass age categories and pass types defined?

For reference, all ages are calculated as of December 31st of the current winter season. Age calculation example: if your child is 12 at the time of pass purchase but turns 13 before December 31st of the current winter season, they will be eligible to purchase the youth season pass.

Family is defined as two parents (18+) and their dependent children under the age of 18 living in the same principal residence. Children that are between the ages of 18-24 and are attending full-time school in Canada, are eligible for the Student Add-On for an additional price.
For all unique circumstances in relation to blended or non-conventional families, we reserve the right to request documentation and determine final eligibility.

Grade 2 Fun Pass
Grade 2
Unlimited access to all four RCR resorts including Fernie Alpine Resort, Kicking Horse Mountain Resort, Kimberley Alpine Resort and Nakiska Ski Area. New this season, the Grade 2 Fun Pass must be picked up in person at Guest Services and will not be mailed out.
Proof of age/enrollment in Grade 2 is required at the time of pass pick-up. This can include registration papers, report card, or birth certificate.

Important - It is the responsibility of the pass purchaser to ensure they are abiding by our pass type parameters and eligibility requirements when making their pass purchase. Pass purchase is considered acknowledgement and acceptance of the pass type definitions.
