What is the refund policy regarding in-season Winter Season Passes?

There will be NO REFUNDS on Season Passes unless the REFUND OPTION is purchased at the time of pass purchase.

For those who have purchased the refund option, refunds for Season Passes will only be considered due to medical conditions supported by a doctor’s certificate OR relocation of employment with supporting documents provided.

Season Pass usage is deducted from the refund amount. Calculations for these types of refunds is as follows - the cost of your Season Pass less the cost of days skied (at window rate for applicable age category) to a maximum of the percentage listed below at the date of claim.

For those who have purchased the refund option, whether it be a used or unused pass, the refund amount will be based on the date the claim is received in our Calgary Office:

40%
Prior to March 15th
25%

Submission cut offs are PRIOR to the 15th for the applicable months. Please note when submitting day of (on the 15th) you will be into the next cut off period.

RCR Season Passes are non-transferrable to future seasons regardless of circumstance or usage. This means if a pass remains unused through the season, it will not be eligible to be moved to a future season.

Refund Option:
The Refund Option is 9% of the Membership/Season Pass price plus GST. For example, if the cost if your pass is $1500.00 then the cost of the option will be $135.00 + GST.

The refund option purchased for your Season Pass is non-refundable and all Season Passes are non-transferable to future seasons. If you have multiple single passes, you will need to purchase the refund option for every pass you would like covered.

Refund Example:
Any ski days used will be deducted from the refund amount at the window rate price of the winter lift ticket for that Resort. If the deduction amount of days used on your Seasons Pass refund exceeds the dollar value your pass was purchased at, we will be unable to proceed with a refund.

Example:
Cost of Pass: $1500 + GST. Before applying for a refund, the pass was scanned on 7 days at Fernie Alpine Resort where the lift ticket price for a full day is $150. Cost of Skied days: 7 x $150 = $1050 + GST. Therefore, the refund amount on this pass would be $1500 - $1050 = $450 + GST.

Important Information about Student & Family Passes

Student Passes:
To be eligible for a refund, the Student Add-on requires the refund option to be purchased for this pass specifically. The refund option purchased for Family Pass only applies to Family Pass not additional add-on’s.

Family Passes:
Family season passes are considered used once one member on the pass has used the pass. Refunds relating to Family Passes will be calculated only on the injured party's portion of the Family Pass Membership.
